This month I turned 25. I was mostly dreading it because now I'm closer to 30 than I have ever been. And once you are 30, the next thing you know you are 40...then 50...then 80! Time flies.
Well April 17th came. Bryson informed me that birthdays aren't that big of a deal and that my mom spoiled me when I was being raised. And well yes, my mother did make birthdays a big thing...I still am realistic of my expectations. I worked the day of my birthday. It was mostly like any other day, expect for the fact that everyone said really nice things to me and we had cake, muffins, fruit and juice! The people at my work really did make me feel special. That night Bryson and I went to Denae and Andrew's house for dinner and games. It was chill, but perfect. We then ended the day with seeing the movie "Woman in Gold" (which I highly recommend). It was a great day. But I still hated that I was 25.
Until...I saw the movie "Age of Adaline." I was really excited for this movie when I saw the previews. So of course I went opening night with my friend Jillyn and sisters. It was good, but not AMAZING. I liked it, but didn't love it. However, I gleaned an important lesson from it. Age is something to be grateful about, especially if you have someone to grow old with. A line from the movie that really struck me went like this:
Flemming: Don't you miss having someone to love?
Adaline Bowman: It's not the same when there's no growing old together. Without that, love is just heartbreak.
I love that I have been able to celebrate my last 2 birthdays with the love of my life. He makes life exciting and I'm excited for our future together. When we are 70 and still madly in love it will be great to think of the life we created together.
So here's to being 25, and to think that I will have infinitely more than 25 years with Bryson!

Moab 2015
My family started going to Moab about 9 years ago. We use to rent Jeeps, and would have a huge caravan of Jeeps jugging along the trails. We have now have upgraded (at least our opinion) to RZRs! They have a lot better suspension and can move along a lot faster. My Dad recently got a 4-seater, so we had a 4-seater and a 2-seater and totally loved exploring more of Moab. We were there for 3 days, and couldn't have asked for better weather! It sure was a fun way to spend our Spring Break.
We broke down at one point. We were all pretty concerned about how we would get home. We were about 2 hours into our trail and it would be a VERY long walk back. But luckily the people on the trail are the best kind of people. So many were willing to help. It was a little miracle and we sure were grateful for everyone who helped!
I love Moab. My Grandpa grew up here before Moab was on the map. It feels cool to be there and to think of my Grandpa and his brothers exploring the land.
Next trip for us is our cruise in June. I'm pretty stoaked for it! 7 weeks lefts of school, then 1 week after that is our CRUISE! Let the countdown begin!

Spring Pictures
We took family pictures with Bryson's side of the family. Denae and Andrew took them. I think that Denae and Andrew should be named as mine and Bryson's life photographer. Any major event (marriage, graduation, baby, etc.) they will have to take them. They are a pretty talented team, eh?

Through Sickness and Health
I have thought about blogging about a million times...but I just have so much to catch up on. I mean we had Christmas, the New Year, Bryson's Birthday, Valentine's Day and everything in between.
Teaching has kinda consumed me. When I get home from teaching all I want to do is watch Netflix and call it good. I love it when I have no plans on the weekends. I just get so exhausted. Bryson has been wonderful. He totally doesn't judge me for being lazy. When we have a free night we do like to eat out and go to the movies. Things we both love. We go to the gym together and play soccer together (we are on 2 teams together). I have been getting back into soccer, and am so grateful I can play again! I can't explain enough how much Bryson has been supportive to me. Some days I just need to cry and let it out and Bryson will just hold me and tell me everything will be alright. I love my job and I know I'm in the right career, but that doesn't mean that it is easy. Sometimes it is the students. Working with special needs students takes a lot of patience and keeping calm when situations are not calm. Sometimes its my coworker or parents. Not all adult have common sense, and not all have the same opinions. But it's all about learning to work together to hopefully in the end benefit the kids.
Well I guess I should attempt to catch up. So here we go...
1st Christmas Together
Since both Bryson and mine's families are in Highland we split our Christmas time between the 2 families. It was a nice Christmas. My brother's family was in town from Arizona, so we got to see them some. I love all my nieces and nephews...and they all love Uncle Bryson. Christmas time will always be special to us because Bryson asked me to be officially his girlfriend on Christmas day 2014.

New Years
My parents got these cool Chinese laterns from a neighbor. We did them with the grandkids and it was a lot of fun. So far 2015 has been good, and I love the start of a new years.
Bryson's Birthday
For Bryson's birthday we went to Salt Lake and stayed in the Hilton for a night. It was a fun little get away, and made possible by Bryson's friend who gave him a free hotel night.
Valentine's Day
We celebrated both on the 13th and 14th! We decided to make it a tradition to paint pottery like we did last year. It was a lot of fun. We love painting pottery! Then on the actual 14th we had foil dinners with some friends. It was a nice chill evening.

So about the title of this post...Bryson has been sick a lot since we have been married. In fact, he is sick right now! I feel like I bring home a lot of germs, and so he is getting all of them. I've gotten sick a few times, but nothing like he has! I don't mind taking care of him, but I like it best when he is better. We sure are still madly in love with each other and wouldn't trade this time for anything.

Grateful.
This is a little late, but its better late then never!
This Thanksgiving was mine and Bryson's first. I loved having him by my side. The night before we stayed up super late with our friend Jillyn. We were all just busy talking, and then it was 3am! So we slept in til about 10, went to my family's house at 11 am. We helped prep a bit, and then we had Thanksgiving lunch at noon! Bryson had work at 4:30pm, so we had lunch! It was great.
I was a bit sad when Bryson had to leave for work. I don't like Best Buy for opening so early for "Black Friday."
Things that I felt very grateful for as of late are:
Bryson (of course)
Family
New Family
My Job
My Students
My Body
My Mind
The Warm Weather
Paychecks
Prayers
Nightly Scripture Study with Bryson
My Home
Music
Friends (Old and New)
Social Media (although there is a lot of crap, there is also a lot of good)
The Gospel
The Temple
Spiritual Promptings
Learning New Things
Forgiveness
and
Love
I love this time of year, and I am loving this December. I always love that Thanksgiving comes before Christmas, it always puts me in a good mood.
Here are a few pics from Thanksgiving! My mom always does an amazing job at decorating the table and I just love pies.

I'm So Behind
So many blog worthy things have happened. But teaching keeps me busy and tired! So then I feel overwhelmed of how behind I am.
Here are some highlights of the past month or so.
October 9-11 Scott Family Retreat
Here are some highlights of the past month or so.
October 9-11 Scott Family Retreat
- My mom rented a cabin for our whole family up in Sundance. It was the perfect time of year to be up there. It was beautiful! Kyle and Monica's family were visting from Arizona, so everyone got to be there! That means 10 adults and 7 children...it was a blast!
- We went hiking to Stewart Falls, played games, ate lots of food and enjoyed one another company!
- Here are some pics:
- Bryson and I took a trip out to Arizona to visit Kyle and Monica and get some dental work done! It was a fun trip and we enjoyed spending time with their family!
- We watched Sophie's soccer game, had the biggest pancake ever, went out to the movies, had a fun dinner/laser tag date, took a tour of the Phoenix Temple and spent many hours at Kyle's dental office! It was so hot too! It was like being back in summertime--I loved it! Here are some pics:
- I love Halloween. I love dressing up and eating lots of candy :) It was fun being a teacher, and see how excited all the students were! Our school made it a really fun day for the students!
- Bryson had to work that night, so I was a little sad but decided to spend the evening with Denae and Andrew and their kids. It was a blast seeing Noah, Hadley and Ander go trick or treating.
- Bryson ended up getting off early so we were able to spend the later part of the night together. I was so happy that he did not have to work til 11!
- Bryson and I bought our cruise for this next summer! We are going to the Bahamas in July!! I couldn't be more excited
- The last 2 days both Bryson and I got the flu. We have been best friends with Netflix. It is nice to have company when you are sick, but this illness has been rough! But this is why I have time to blog, so there is a silver lining to it all ;)

100 Days
Okay, sorry for all the posts today, but I just realized today is the 100th day of being married. How could I not make a post about this?
These have been the happiest 100 days of my life. 100 days of waking up to Bryson. 100 nights of going to sleep with Bryson. He is my best friend and I thank God every day that he put Bryson in my life.
